Pointer sometimes referred to as English Pointer are gun dogs bred to find game, historically they have been used by hunters often in combination with other dogs who have different skills.
They have an average lifespan of 12 to 17 years and the breed standard for sizes are as follows:
Males: Height 60-70cm (25-28 inch) Weight 25-34 kg
Females: Height 58-66cm (23-26 inch) Weight 25-34 kg
It is recommended that a Pointers dog cage of 36 to 42 inches in size.
