Beagles are a memeber of the hound group of dogs, originally bred for their ability to detect scents and therefore track hare, rabbit and other game.
Beagles resemble foxhounds although slightly smaller, they have short fur and an elegant look about them. They have an even temprament which makes them good household pets.
Average Height is 33 to 41 cms (13 to 16 inch)
It is recommended that a beagle dog cage should 30 inches in size.
